Client Code of Conduct

At Lakeville Family Pet Clinic, we know how much your pet means to you—because we feel the same way about the animals in our care. Our goal is to create a space where you feel supported, heard, and confident in your pet’s care, while also ensuring a positive and respectful environment for every client, patient, and team member. Veterinary visits can sometimes feel stressful or emotional, and we truly understand that. Our team is here to guide you with compassion and clarity. In return, we ask that all interactions remain respectful and collaborative so we can focus on what mattersmost—your pet’s well-being.

What You Can Expect From Us

We are committed to:

  • Treating you and your pet with kindness, respect, and compassion
  • Providing clear communication and thoughtful guidance
  • Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment
  • Respecting your privacy and maintaining confidentiality

What We Ask of Our Clients

Kind and Respectful Interactions
We ask that all communication with our team remains courteous and respectful. We are here to help and will always do our best to support you.

Open, Honest Communication
Sharing complete and accurate information about your pet helps us provide the best possible care. We also welcome questions—your understanding matters.

Pet Safety
For the safety of everyone, pets must be leashed or appropriately contained at all times. If your pet is anxious or reactive, please let us know so we can support you.

Partnership in Care
Following clinic policies, recommendations, and safety guidelines allows us to provide efficient, high-quality care for all patients.

When Expectations Aren’t Met

While we approach every interaction with understanding, we cannot accept behavior that compromises the safety or well-being of our team, clients, or patients. This includes:

  • Verbal abuse, threats, or intimidation
  • Harassment or discriminatory behavior
  • Physical aggression
  • Refusal to follow safety instructions

If these situations occur, we may need to ask you to leave, decline services, or end the veterinarian-client-patient relationship.

A Shared Commitment to Care

We believe the best outcomes happen when we work together—with trust, respect, and a shared commitment to your pet’s health. Thank you for helping us create a space where everyone feels safe, valued, and cared for.
